Clinique can do no wrong in my eyes. Their High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara has knocked my once-favourite mascara into second place and now their winning Chubby Sticks have been taken to the next level – they are more intense! In colour! Like lipsticks yet stuffed to the gills with moisturising properties to keep your lips lusciously schmooove.

Upon first glance, the Intense version looks identical to its big sister, the Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm, in that it’s packaged in the same crayon-like retractable barrels without the need of a sharpener but that’s where the similarity stops.
I was sent a few shades to try, though I wasn’t too sure one or two would compliment my skin tone. Thankfully I was wrong thus proving these colours will just about suit most.

The original is very much geared towards being a balm with a hint of colour but these Intense bad boys are more my style as I like my lips to look like they’ve got some colour yet at the same time they hydrate and protect.
Roomiest Rose (second from the left) is my favourite – I have numerous rose shades in various forms of glosses, stains and sticks and like a magnet, I keep getting drawn to more.
Chunkiest Chili is a browny brick red, Plushest Punch is a gorgeous fuschia pink and Mightiest Maraschino (‘Maraschino’ always reminds me of Marty in Grease!) is a pop-out red.
There are a total of 8 shades to choose from, ranging from bright and playful to neutral to warm, and like the other Chubby Sticks, these can be mixed and layered limitlessly.
If you like something with a kick, go for Intense. If you’re a wallflower, the classic Chubby Stick will tick all the boxes.
Clinique’s Chubby Stick Intense Moiturizing Lip Colour Balm cost £16 and will be available at selected Clinique counters nationwide from mid November. To buy the originals online, go to www.clinique.co.uk.

I didn’t like the original Chubby Sticks, as I think they mostly looked the same, but those look much better! They remind me of the tarte lip sticks – love those!
These look great, i think it’s a great way to ease into darker lipstick shades! xx
