Carmex. The name sounds familiar…that’s because it’s a brand that’s been nourishing, conditioning and protecting lips since 1937. Well Carmex have launched a new lip balm – the Moisture Plus which is the first premium lip balm introduced by the brand in more than 70 years. It comes in two tinted shades (pink and peach) and the regular, original. The ultra hydrating lip balm contains Vitamin E and Aloe moisturising protection and sunscreen SPF 15.
You get the best of both worlds here – a product that keeps lips plumped with moisture, rescues from sun damage and gives a nice, natural tint though I prefer the clear version, which leaves a satin gloss finish. I’m not sure the tinted versions will compliment my skin tone judging by how it looks on other ladies who have reviewed this product on their blogs.
I do love the slim line look, mimicking a lipstick. The slant tip is also wonderful for precision application and as for its performance, it scores very highly, leaving my lips tingling.
Some lip balms can be dry annoyingly so I was most surprised Carmex’s Moisture Plus does exactly what it says in its name. It’s my first time using Carmex so I am a little late to joining the party but it’s one I want to stay put at. I’m very pleased with the quality of the product and how conveniently it fits into my heaving make-up purse.

I can’t survive a winter without Carmex. Temperatures drop and it getsvery windy where I live. I’m going to look for these tinted ones!
I wish I had started using them sooner. They really feel like they’re working on your lips.
