Bourjois can do no wrong. I’m sure I’ve said this countless number of times before but if not, I would just like to put that out there. In neon lights.

Their new ColorBand Eyeshadow and Liner Crayons* are shadows on a stick. Quick to apply straight onto the lids and easy to blend with your ring finger, they are the epitome of high street beauty chic – affordable without compromising on quality. I have the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow sticks (which are £19 each) and in direct comparison, Bourjois’s come in at £5.99 each.

We have six flattering shades to suit most, if not, all skin tones. They can also double up as liners though they are on the chunky side so unless you’re going for a smokey look, it will be a struggle to get anything beyond neat and sharp.

From left to right we have: 05 Mauve Baroque, 04 Rose Fauviste, 03 Beige Minimaliste, 02 Brun Dadaïste, 06 Gris Graffiti and 01 Noir Abstrait.

These crayons glide onto the eyelid effortlessly without dragging and they are unbelievably pigmented. They also do not budge once on – a micellar soaked cotton pad could not persuade them to smudge the slightest. Well, they are smudge-resistant and water-proof so at least these deliver on their promises. Incidentally you actually need an oil-based remover or a cleansing balm to take them off.

You can blend these with your finger or a brush. I am wearing Beige Minimaliste with Brun Dadaïste on the outer corner and Noir Abstrait in the crease. Not bad, eh?

Gloriously easy to use, convenient to pop in your make-up bag and perfect for when you’re on the move, these beauties are also purse friendly. Oh, j’adore! They didn’t crease on me although I had only worn them for a few hours but I didn’t notice any visible signs of it creeping up but I’m thinking they might not be ideal for oily lids.

I hope Bourjois has plans to bring out some vibrant colours in the future. I would love to see khaki green, apple green, turquoise, navy blue and purple. Ooh I can feel it in my waters that they will.

Pick up the ColorBand Eyeshadow and Liner Crayons from any Bourjois stand in Boots and Superdrug, or online.

They look fantastic, and look so great in the shot of your eye. My experience of eyeshadow crayons thus far has been pretty pants, but I want to get a couple of these. xx

Thanks, Leah. For more intensity, these are buildable but are nice enough to wear in the day with the subtle shimmer. Some people have experienced creasing, which makes me wonder if their lids are prone to being oily. Hope you get on well with them. xx

I was going to get shades 2, 3, 4 and 5 but might avoid now i’ve seen how hard they are to remove. I will look for an alternative I think! Amy

Hey Amy, they come off easily with an oil-based remover or a cleansing balm so don’t be afraid! They just don’t budge from water and the micellar kind. xx
