Barry M Neon Pink - Just Nice Things

Barry M Neon Pink

Read Time:1 Minute, 30 Second

A couple of years ago, Barry M released what was supposedly three limited edition neon polishes. Like a moth to a flame, I purchased all three, although I’m not really sure why as I’m not a massive fan of neon. The green one went in a swap, leaving me with the yellow, which you can see here, and the pink.

This is actually one of the first nail varnishes I reviewed waaay back when the blog first started. At the time, it was my go-to pedicure polish, but rather than treat you to images of my feet once again, I thought I’d re-review this and show you what it looks like as a full manicure.

It’s nice, isn’t it? Not as in-your-face as a lot of the pink neons, from companies such as Models Own and China Glaze. I like it. Of course, were I searching for a vibrant and crazy neon I might be a tad disappointed with this. But as it stands, I really like it. It is a really hot fuchsia pink that has ever such a strong blue flash to it. These types of shades are definitely an Achilles heel of mine – in fact, slap a blue flash on any old polish and I’ll have to buy it.

My only complaint is that like a lot of supposedly neon polishes, and indeed, like a lot of Barry M shades, this is pretty sheer. It took four or so coats to reach opacity, reminding me why I prefer to use this on toes. It works just fine over a co-ordinating base coat though which I would do in future as you can see some visible nail line here.

What do you think? Would you wear this one?

I’m a sucker for blue-flash too and I would certainly wear this. But it doesn’t scream neon. How matte does it dry?

It doesn’t dry matte at all actually – its quite glowy and shiny.
