Barry M Cyan Blue - Just Nice Things

Barry M Cyan Blue

Read Time:1 Minute, 15 Second

This is what Summer is all about. Bright sunshiney colours that make you think of sunny skies and swimming pools. Now bearing in mind the craptactular summers we have had in the UK in recent years, you might need to stretch your imagination a little further, and perhaps just reduce yourself to having a little pool party on your nails, whilst sitting inside wearing a thick jumper and drinking hot chocolate…

So. Cyan Blue. In all fairness, this isn’t all that unique. There are plenty of other brands out there that can offer up a shiny blue creme. But I like this for its brightness, and the fact that at less than £3.00, it is an easy way to bring some colour into your life.

This is a hair darker and brighter than a lot of the pastel nail varnishes that have dwarfed the blogosphere over the past few months. I like it – it appears almost juicy….that doesn’t make sense, does it?

Other than that, I am struggling here. It’s a nice mid blue shade that applies beautifully and is opaque in three coats. I had good wear with this, around three days before the inevitable tipwear crept in. No chipping though. I think this is a definite contender for a summer pedicure, and for under £3.00 it’s enough of a bargain to only use once or twice a year. You know, on the those occasions when the sun does come out in this country…

You know Helen, I am as up for cynical pops at the British weather as the next woman. But have we been living on different planets recently? It’s been BAKING! (am not just labouring under this misapprehension because I’m pregnant… am I? Or living in a weird London weather bubble?!)
Anyway. I do like the look of this one. ‘Juicy’ is just right, that’s just how it looks. As soon as I can reach my toes again I want to buy some bright pedicure colours, and this could well be one of them…

This is one delicious looking blue. Very pretty on you. I’ll trade you some of the cooler weather for this heat. It’s supposed to hit 100 degrees here. Thank God for air conditioning.

Jen – That’s amazing staying power! Gorgeous colour for toes

Rachel – So nice to see you! I think I wrote this a while ago when it was pouring down with rain then scheduled it to go live…so I kind of agree with you But today is ghastly – pouring rain again!

Lucy – 100f is too hot. It was 105 when we were in Florida and we really struggled.

  6. […] I liked so much about Orly’s Snowcone but I like it. It’s greyer than Barry M’s  Cyan Blue and actually I think its closest relative is the cheapo 2True that I reviewed […]
