2009 was the year I discovered China Glaze, Models Own and Illamasqua, not to mention the fact that I stopped myself from going insane with the work-commute-sleep routine by starting this blog with Sheenie.

What was meant to be all things beauty related has developed into a blog mainly about nail varnish…..but that’s what you wanted, so that’s what you got.

Oh and after about seven months, I am proud to say that my nails are now teabag and silk wrap free. Finally! They might be different lengths but at least all the breaks have gone…for now anyway!

So, whatever you end up doing, I hope you have a great New Year’s Eve! No review post for you today but wanted to take the chance to show you some of my favourite polishes that I’ve worn since I started blogging. In no particular order (and rather picture-heavy)…

    Happy New Year!
    The Illamasquas all look fabulous on you. The Milf mani is gorgeous.
    I also am intrigued by Huckle Buckle and you have done brilliantly with Reclaim. I love Reclaim but it is hell to put on. It drags on me. I think I don’t leave long enough between coats and I know holos can be troublesome in that respect but it drives me mad!
    Crimson Carol is very becoming on you as well.

    Thanks Jen! Yes – you definitely need to leave a while between each coat – even more important with holo polishes.

    What a beautiful selection of polishes. Nice that your nails are free of the teabags! I had a break 2 weeks ago and chopped all my nails off. They were starting to drive me crazy because they were so long. Not your length but pretty long. Now they are super duper short. I have to start all over again. Have a Happy New Year.
