Today’s 20 Questions have been answered by one of my favourite bloggers, Andrea from Black Nail Polish & Lipgloss. I like her because she is not afraid to speak her mind, and has one of the most unique blogs out there. Plus her nails put mine to shame. She’s a lovely lady too! Please check her out here.
1) Why did you start your blog?
A fellow MUAer suggested and kind of talked me into it. She was right, I love it!
2) How long have you been blogging for?
It was one year on 12th July.
3) What do you enjoy most about blogging?
My readers! I have gotten to know some of the most amazing people through blogging, that alone makes it worth it!
4) What frustrates you most about blogging?
When Blogger gets stupid and won’t let me load pictures or eats a post!
5) How much time a week do you spend on your blog / reading other people’s blogs?
Judging from the bags under my eyes, I’d say too much time.
6) What advice do you have for aspiring beauty bloggers?
Be you and have fun, that is what makes a great Blog/Blogger! My favorite Blogs are one where I really know who is on the other end of the blog.
7) What other hobbies/interests do you have?
I live for music, I sew, bead, draw, paint, anything I can pour some creative energy into. My energy is creative, I didn’t get any of that much needed physical energy.
8) How many bottles of nail varnish do you own?
I refuse to count, I know it’s over 500 and I’m pretty sure it’s under 1,000. You can come count them but don’t tell me the answer. I like being clueless.
9) Do you set yourself a shopping budget, or do you purchase on an as-and-when basis?
I have a weekly budget for “free” money, but if something special pops up I can borrow forward. :o)
10) What is your favourite make-up brand, and why?
Evil Shades because it’s my company so I get everything I love out of it and I know it’s quality, animal friendly and I can have/make any color I want. It’s like living in Sephora only I do all the work and the clean up is a PITA. (I’m always covered in micro shimmer)
11) Do you ever leave the house without wearing make-up?
All the time. I can’t wear makeup when it’s hot outside, just can’t stand the feel so in summer I only wear eye makeup and only occasionally. The rest of the year I wear makeup more often but I still go bare faced.
12) What is your favourite beauty product and why?
Aloe! I love Aloe, I use it mixed with water in a mister for summer moisture without oil. I use it for when my eyes are irritated, when I have a break out, in my hair when it‘s feeling dry or flat. I drink it when my tummy is upset. I put it in my cuticle balm. It is just a perfect product.
13) What is your favourite nail varnish of all time? (yep, only one!)
Liquid Euphoria Bliss, and if I ever find any of the Liquid Euphorias you can be sure I’ll have to get them.
14) Tell us about the best holiday you’ve ever been on.
The last vacation back up to the Reservation in Montana. I hadn’t been in years so going home and breathing the sweet clean air, seeing home again was the best feeling. I haven’t been back in several years, maybe it’s time to go home again.
15) What would be your ideal day off?
I just want a day off, just one or 7 maybe. I want a spa day, but they cannot touch my nails!
16) What is your favourite TV show?
I don’t watch TV, it annoys me. The hubby has the first 2 seasons of Dexter on DVD and I love those. Does that count?
17) What music do you enjoy listening to?
I love Punk…ummm old school punk not that lame teeny bopper pop punk wannabe junk. I love Metal too any genre but traditional and Black Metal are my favorites.
18) What is your favourite food?
Buffalo Steak, grilled with fry bread and wajapii and roasted wild potatoes.
19) Where would you most like to visit in the world? (money no object)
I would love to travel Europe and visit all my e-friends. Oh or Australia to see my Uncle Bazza in person and meet some e-friends there.
20) Tell us a secret…
I’m really a man…..kidding! I don’t have any good secrets really, I’m very (too) open about me, just ask my poor readers. How about a little known fact instead: I can see in the dark. Not perfect like a cat but in a pitch black room I can see where everything is, not the colors but the shapes, size, placement etc. It’s hard to explain and my eye doctor likes to play games with me, he is amused by my oddity.
