1) Why did you start your blog?
I started my own blog since I felt the urge to start writing and I needed a way-out from work and daily routine. I felt relaxed writing about beauty products and make-up since it has been my hobby for many years.
2) How long have you been blogging for?
I have been blogging for more than two years now! Time goes by so so fast!
3) What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I think the thing I enjoy the most is the feeling I get when I know someone is reading my words and sharing their thoughts with me. That makes me happy and also makes me want to continue and improve my blog.
4) What frustrates you most about blogging?
I get frustrated when I do not have enough time to prepare a blog entry properly or when the light is so crap that I cannot take any pictures. I also get frustrated when I am suffering from a period without inspiration! Haha
5) How much time a week do you spend on your blog / reading other people’s blogs?
It is difficult to say, it really depends on the week, but I would say I spend an average of two hours per day on a productive week, and less than an hour if I am very very busy. However, when I prepare a blog post, it usually takes me between four and five hours!
6) What advice do you have for aspiring beauty bloggers?
My advice is simple: try to be yourself, develop your own style and let your creativity go out!
7) What other hobbies/interests do you have?
Well, I love reading and writing (apart from blogging); I also love music and going to concerts; nowadays I am becoming keen on belly-dancing and I have a passion for the beach in summer!
8 ) How many bottles of nail varnish do you own?
Haha, good one. I own 25 at the moment 🙂
9) Do you set yourself a shopping budget, or do you purchase on an as-and-when basis?
I try not to buy compulsively and be reasonable with the products I purchase and the amount of money I spend. And, from time to time I go through very strict spending bans.
10) What is your favourite make-up brand, and why?
I am going to say MAC, I am not very original in this question, I’m afraid… it is the only brand I have tried so far in which I find good products in each category: foundation, eyeshadow, blush… On the contrary, other brands disappoint me with some products!
11) Do you ever leave the house without wearing make-up?
Not typically. I normally wear some concealer and powder at least.
12) What is your favourite beauty product and why?
My favourite beauty product has always been foundation: I feel confident when I am wearing a good foundation and it can really transform our face! Besides, I like how my imperfections and blemishes virtually disappear with it.
13) What is your favourite nail varnish of all time? (yep, only one!)
Only one?? For real?? Haha, ok, I am going to say Blue Satin by Chanel.I really love my nails when I am wearing it!
14) Tell us about the best holiday you’ve ever been on.
The best holiday I have ever been to was my trip to San Francisco. I loved California and I am planning a trip back!
15) What would be your ideal day off?
My ideal day off would be blogging on the beach, under the shadows of some palm trees, drinking some fruit juice and enjoying the company of my love.
16) What is your favourite TV show?
My favourite TV show of all times is The O.C. California here we come!
17) What music do you enjoy listening to?
I love rock music and heavy metal above all, although depending on the circumstances I can also enjoying with some pop, jazz and even dance music!
18) What is your favourite food?
My favourite food is pasta! I think I must have some Italian genes running through my veins, haha!
19) Where would you most like to visit in the world? (money no object)
Ok, I would probably choose Maldives, Fiji, or some place like that! Paradise island for me, please!
20) Tell us a secret…
My secret is: I hate going to the hairdresser’s and I have never been very regular with haircare. The truth is that I am starting to take care of my hair properly at the moment. I will let you know!
