Hurrah! It’s 20 Questions time again! In the hotseat today is the lovely Amy-Louise from Lipgloss86 . I like her blog as is such an easy read – it’s like having a good old chat about products and treatments. Also, you should definitely follow her on Twitter! Check out Amy-Louise’s blog here
1) Why did you start your blog?
I was watching YouTube videos, then got into reading blogs and thought it looked fun, so I jumped on the band wagon!
2) How long have you been blogging for?
About 18 months
3) What do you enjoy most about blogging?
Interacting with the community.
4) What frustrates you most about blogging?
Misconceptions from readers. Reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt, what works for me, might not work for you.
5) How much time a week do you spend on your blog / reading other people’s blogs?
I log on everyday and read the lastest posts in my feed. I normally pre-schedule my posts so there is less pressure with working it around my day job 🙂
6) What advice do you have for aspiring beauty bloggers?
Just be yourself and dont worry about what other people think.
7) What other hobbies/interests do you have?
Exercising, interior design and fashion.
8 ) How many bottles of nail varnish do you own?
I recently scaled down my collection so it currently stands at around 30.
9) Do you set yourself a shopping budget, or do you purchase on an as-and-when basis?
I purchase as and when. I always have a wishlist, who doesnt, but I try to make to read some reviews before buying. Lets face it, all of us have a product grave yard that gets shipped off to our friends.
10) What is your favourite make-up brand, and why?
Right now Maybelline, just for the foundations. Tomorrow it could be totally different!
11) Do you ever leave the house without wearing make-up?
Not really. If I am just popping to the shops I’ll grab my big sunglasses. I do my 5 minute face for work though.
12) What is your favourite beauty product and why?
Right now, Olay Beauty Fluid. Perfect moisturiser for the warmer weather.
13) What is your favourite nail varnish of all time? (yep, only one!)
OPI Done out in Deco. A lovely grey lilac thats subtle but pretty.
14) Tell us about the best holiday you’ve ever been on
St Lucia Sandals resort. Amazing! The beach was like a postcard and the cockails were tasty!
15) What would be your ideal day off?
Shopping, lunch and friends.
16) What is your favourite TV show?
This week its Friends but the list is endless.
17) What music do you enjoy listening to?
Anything from Kings of Leon right through to the Spice Girls. Music is all about memories.
18) What is your favourite food?
I love Italian, pasta, pizza mmmm
19) Where would you most like to visit in the world? (money no object)
Fiji. Lots of my friends have returned from travelling and told me I have to go… so one day… I will!
