In case you have been jammed under a rock, you will have heard Make Up For Ever is now available at Debenhams. In all its glory. Quite possibly this is the most exciting news to dominate the first half of 2015.

The HD foundation has firmly wedged itself at the number one spot in my favourite foundations (cast your minds back to my review), which I now use with MUFE’s Step 1: Equalizer hydrating primer. To complete the line-up I’ve now brought in MUFE’s High Definition Powder*.

This multiple award-winning (and industry favourite) universal translucent finishing powder can be applied over foundation or worn alone but unlike most translucent loose powders which set your make-up and prolong its wear, MUFE’s version is in a league of its own. Like the foundation the powder uses a clever formula which is both invisible on HD cameras and to the naked eye. The powder slightly mattifies skin without changing its natural contours. Made of 100% mineral silica, it softens the appearance of imperfections, fine lines, and pores and completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look. In other words, it’s like an Instagram filter only real.

This dermatologist-tested and talc-free formula does not dry the skin and because it’s translucent, it works for all skin tones. The powder is finely milled, lightweight with a silky texture and I’ve got to say, it does its job magnificently. I only use the tiniest amount, and the foundation remains flawless. The only downside is it is a messy product and sprinkles everywhere at the slightest jerk so make sure the lid is firmly twisted on.

Make Up For Ever High Definition Powder costs £22 for an 8g pot.
