Foundation Files: EVE LOM Radiance Lift

Last year EVE LOM ventured into new territories with the arrival of Radiance Lift*, their first ever foundation.

The Radiance Lift foundation comes in 15 shades. Sadly there is nothing in the spectrum for darker skin tones, which will annoy some (and quite rightly so). It is a difficult debate and one where I can see the argument on both sides.

Radiance Lift is an anti-ageing foundation that keeps the skin hydrated and minimises pores, fine lines and imperfections. My complexion definitely looks smooth so it’s an ideal foundation for women my age (cough!) Look, I need all the elasticity and suppleness I can get. The shade I come closest to is Honey, which has yellow undertones. When I see that description next to a foundation for me, I think ‘jaundice’. Any way.

I paired Radiance Lift with EVE LOM’s Flawless Radiance Primer* (£40), a milky lotion that contains a light-diffusing formula and absorbs quickly, moisturising the skin and prepping it for the foundation.

Price wise, EVE LOM’s Radiance Lift comes in at a hefty £50 (but it’s not the most expensive foundation I’ve tried – that goes to the amazing By Terry’s Terrybly Densiliss which I will be caving into repurchasing).

While it’s delightfully gorgeous and so very EVE LOM, it is down to personal preference whether you wish to shell out considerably more for a foundation when one at around £30 or under will do the trick.

EVE LOM’s Radiance Lift is available from Space NK and www.evelom.com.

Coverage: medium
Verdict: one for the not-so twenty-something year olds
