Like many I prefer to shop online for my beauty, skin and haircare favourites and as a savvy shopper, I’ve got a list of reliable sites I turn to – great customer service, fast delivery (often free) and in some cases, exclusive stockists to some brilliant brands. Without further ado, here are my favourite beauty e-shops that I’ve been using for years:
1. Cult Beauty
Cult Beauty has pretty much everything covered – Pixi Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Morphe Brushes, Huda Beauty, Tata Harper, Zelens, Zoeva, Violet Voss, Stila Cosmetics, Sunday Riley…ooff, the list is endless, and delivery is super quick. They have a store in London but frankly, it’s so much more convenient to order online.
2. Look Fantastic
My number one source for sulphate-free haircare, you’ll find many names on Look Fantastic’s books including Alterna and Pureology. It’s also a wonderful place for skincare, make-up and fragrances.
3. Feel Unique
This is where I got my Aquis hair towels from. Feel Unique stocks make-up, skincare, haircare and fragrances from over 500 brands including Charlotte Tilbury, La Roche-Posay, Murad, Nuxe, NYX and more.
Great for French pharmacy skincare like Bioderma and often products are on special offer. They also stock my favourite toothpaste Regenerate which currently has 25% knocked off its retail price.
5. Space NK
I go to Space NK for the likes of By Terry and Hourglass as well as other premium brands. I’ve found the service in store to be very under par on plus I have to make a special trip to them because of where they are located in proximity to where I reside so I prefer to shop online especially when I know what I want and often it’s a case of replenishing.
6. The Body Shop
Yes, I know there is a branch in every shopping centre and on most high streets but the best bargains are to be found online and with discount codes flying around, I’ll take the opportunity to swoop in on the sales and buy shower gels in bulk. Also not every branch has what you want in stock. Delivery is quick too.
7. Beauty Bay
Beauty Bay is the official UK stockist for some niche and highly sought-after US beauty like Jeffree Star Cosmetics. Beauty Bay does a fantastic job with delivering goods quickly and often I’ve received my order the following day and yes, the delivery is free.
8. Cocktail Cosmetics
Cocktail Cosmetics is your place for indie and niche make-up brands like Gerard Cosmetics, Beauty Bakerie, Sugar Pill and Lime Crime.
When buying beauty products, please check if they are the official stockists. Ebay and Amazon do not count (unless it’s from Amazon’s Beauty Shop with approved brands). Caroline Hirons wrote a great piece on third party/discount sites selling make-up, which you can read here. Stick with the guys above and nothing will go wrong. Sephora, we don’t really need you after all…
