Molton Brown, my old chum, it’s been a while. In fact it’s been so long that you’ve introduced a few more names to join the established line-up which adorn the shelves of your boutiques. One is Pink Pepperpod* (formerly known as Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod) dressed suitably in eye-catching pink and I must say I’ve taken quite a shine to it.
The iconic Black Peppercorn is fiercely intense and masculine (although favoured by both sexes) but Fiery Pink Pepperpod takes a different direction with a sweetly spiced scent from blending pink pepperpods with ginger and patchouli. It still maintains a peppery undertone with an air of sensuality. Also known as ‘grains of paradise’, pink pepperpods are rich in antioxidants, helping to protect skin from free radicals.
The fragrance contains a top note of fiery pink pepper, followed by a heart note of ginger and finally a base note of rich patchouli. Among the products available there is a shower gel, body lotion and body polisher.
I enjoy using the Fiery Pink Pepper Pampering Body Polisher (250ml/£34) with its creamy texture mixed with exfoliating bamboo stem particles to polish skin. It feels luxurious to use and the scent latches on after the remains have been washed away. For every day use, the Pink Pepperpod shower gel (300ml/£18) and the body lotion (300ml/£25) are fabulously invigorating and moisturising, making you feel warm especially now that the days are getting colder. By the way, I don’t know why the Body Polisher’s name is different to the rest of the Pink Pepperpod named products…does anyone else know?
You can pick these up individually at all good Molton Brown stockists but Molton Brown has also combined these in gift sets for the festive season which is often better value. To find out more, visit www.moltonbrown.com.
