Eyeko Vintage Polish

You’d think I would have learned by now that mint green polishes are not my friend, wouldn’t you?

All the others I’ve tried (and there are many) have only really successfully managed to show my hands for the red lobster claws that I didn’t actually realise they were.  I envu people who can carry off this shade, as I sure as hell can’t.

Having said that, Vintage Polish (For Elegant Nails, apparently…ok…) is one of the better ones. It leans more towards the turquoise side of green, and the amount of blue in it kind of levels it out a bit.

Application was better than other Eyeko polishes I have tried, as long as you’re prepared to deal with a long floppy brush and a thick polish. Got to say, it’s not one of my favourites. However, I know a number of people who love this so each to their own, I guess.

What do you think? Are you still sporting nails this shade, or are you over the trend?

By the way, I keep hearing rumours that Eyeko are discontinuing their nail varnishes. I don’t know why or the rationale behind it but I know that a few bloggers are grumpy about it. Personally I’ve never been crazy about Eyeko polishes but it does seem like a shame for those who do like them.

I think its a great color 😀 I also saw and heard that they are discontinuing but I also heard that they are gonna make some new polishes 😀

I love this one. Eyeko applies really well for me and I have all their shades.

But the recent price hike from £3.50 to a fiver really p!ssed me off. I’m no longer a customer.

I don’t think this looks bad on you btw. But there’s something about it that makes it a ‘short nail’ colour imo. Can’t explain but that’s my instinct.

I love a good green and I rather fancy Orly Ancient Jade. Application has to be good though. I have suffered with some streaky messes and am not going there again.

I can’t wear green nail polish at all, my skintone is too pink and the green just makes it appear pinker, not in a good pretty pink way either, more like a 3rd degree scald kind of pink! I think this colour actually looks really good on you. Jude xx @jadlgw

hummm I just cannot make my mind up on that colour. I always tend to go for something with a little bit of shimmer in it.

I am kind of tired of these shades on their own, but I give them new life by layering flakies or glitters over them!

Pretty shade and I do like this on you. I don’t own any Eyeko polishes. There’s a few I do like.

If they’re discontinuing their polishes I need BACKUPS! :O Seriously, Cosmic polish and a couple more are so great, I love them.

And I agree, Vintage really does make people’s hands look less lobster-y than a lot of these colours usually do. 🙂
