You may remember that a while back I was sent some products from Ahava to try out (see my post here). Well, as well as making friendly foundation and powders, they also make a whole range of body care items.
Generally, having psoriasis and sensitive skin, I have to be exceptionally careful with what products I use. Anything with SLS or parabens are anathema to me, so I was pleased to hear that the Ahava body washes are made of psoriasis-friendly ingredients.
These bottles are absolutely HUGE! You get 500ml, and this lasted me for a good couple of months of daily showers. Using a puff or a sponge, a little goes a long way. It lathers up absolutely beautifully, which is remarkably impressive for an SLS product, and a cream rather than a gel.
The scents are lovely as well – subtle enough not to linger on your skin and clash with your perfume but present enough to give you a little boost in the shower. My favourite was the Bamboo & Pansy (for very dry skin), which smelled sweet and clean.
I also tried out Honeysuckle & Lavender (For Sensitive Skin) and this was also very nice, especially for those of you who enjoy using lavender scented products.
I had zero reaction to either of these products (I have been using them for about three months now) and would definitely repurchase. I can’t explain what a result it is to find something that smells nice, cleans well, and doesn’t upset my skin.
These products were sent to me for review.
Ahava Velvet Cream body washes are available here and cost £15.00 for 500ml.
