I’m having a bit of a love affair with this colour at the moment. The reason for this is that when we looked around the house we want to buy (yes, it’s STILL going on), the owners have done out the kitchen with appliances and accessories in this colour. And against the white worktops and cupboards, it looks really, really good. I knew this shade was a little bit trendy when looking at the Lawrence Llwellyn-Bowen kitchen paint in Homebase, and somehow it has seeped into my subconscious as something I rather like.
But that’s kitchen paint and silicone spatulas. How does it translate to the nail? Hmm. Pretty well actually, if you like this sort of thing. I’ve documented (and whined about it) frequently that pastel greens do nothing for me or my skintone, so I was pleased to see that this 2True polish has enough yellow in it to be totally flattering on me.
This is three coats as it was a tad streaky and pulled a little. This is because it is part of 2true’s legendary (in my eyes anyway) quick drying formula in the skinny bottles. Love this stuff. It applies thickly but not unmaneagably, and dried rapidly. I’ve got a slight ding on my forefinger but that was more to do with plucking hot toast out of the toaster rather than anything to do with the polish.
This is garish and unashamedly bright. Kind of limey but not quite. Ordinarily this is never something I’d entertain, and I don’t think I’ll be wearing it regularly but for the moment, I like it.
What do you think? Would you wear this? Would you have this colour anywhere in your house?
